Healthcare Operations Coordinator

Position: Operations Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee all operational tasks within the plasma collection center, stepping in to perform duties as needed to ensure smooth donor flow.
● Acquire and uphold comprehensive knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal protocols.
● Supervise donor selection processes, plasma collection activities, and maintain meticulous manufacturing records to uphold the highest production standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
● Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings to stay informed and compliant.
● Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of all necessary records is maintained.
● Collaborate with the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager to maintain a clean and organized facility, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
● Provide timely and precise reports as requested by management.
● Assist in managing center donor funds as directed by the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
● Support the training of new staff and the ongoing education of current employees.
● Foster effective communication with other departments to guarantee accurate documentation and quality assurance.
● Build strong relationships with donors to enhance overall satisfaction and encourage long-term donations.
● Report any unsafe conditions or situations to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
● May receive training to perform minor repairs on plasma center equipment.
● Assist the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager with any tasks necessary to achieve company goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Certification as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer is essential. Typically requires 4 years of relevant experience in phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing, demonstrating the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in a plasma center environment, with potential exposure to biological fluids and infectious agents. Employees may encounter electrical office and laboratory equipment, as well as extreme cold conditions. Personal protective equipment, including eyewear, garments, and gloves, is mandatory.
Employees are expected to stand for 6-8 hours daily, with repetitive movements and the ability to lift weights ranging from 15-50 lbs.
