Senior Account Executive, State and Local Government

At Genesys Cloud Services, Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth in the State and Local Government market. As a key member of our Public Sector Sales team, you'll be responsible for establishing deep business and technical relationships with government customers, identifying new sales opportunities, and developing strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth in the State and Local Government market through the development of strategic account plans and the identification of new sales opportunities.
- Establish and maintain deep business and technical relationships with government customers, including state executive agencies and the judiciary.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide guidance on the implementation of Genesys Cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with Genesys' Legal and finance team to manage complex contract negotiations.
- Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of enterprise sales and/or business development experience with a focus on state and local government customers.
- 5+ years of technology sales experience selling enterprise software, hardware, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Direct field sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical background in contact center technologies, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software applications, networking, data analytical tools, web application development, cybersecurity, etc.
- Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quota.
- Experience selling to a variety of state executive agencies (including health care and human services, unemployment compensation, transportation, and revenue) and the judiciary.
- Extensive customer network.
