Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Security Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program, you will play a critical role in providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough telecommunications security surveys and inspections to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement countermeasures to mitigate technical hazards and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert research and analysis to support exception requests and prepare professional-quality written reports detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with overseas posts and domestic offices to ensure compliance with 12 FAM and 12 FAH policies on telecommunications systems.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in telephony security, including installation guidance and product selection expertise for DOS secure and non-secure voice programs.
  • Perform post-installation compliance inspections of telecommunication systems and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Archive and distribute TSP Quarterly Reports and track follow-on actions and activities.
Requirements
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or, 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Possess one of the following certifications, OR be able to obtain before start date: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security + CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with SCI.
