We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Security Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program, you will play a critical role in providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough telecommunications security surveys and inspections to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Determine the scope of each survey and inspection, and develop recommendations for countermeasures to mitigate technical hazards.
- Respond to inquiries from overseas posts and domestic offices related to telecommunications systems, ensuring compliance with 12 FAM and 12 FAH policies.
- Provide research and fact-checking support for official correspondence, and review and edit documents for accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare professional-quality written reports detailing findings and recommendations gathered during telecommunications surveys and inspections.
- Assist in evaluating telephony security in accordance with industry best practices, installation guidance, and product selection expertise for secure and non-secure voice programs.
- Review and provide feedback on engineering and installation plans to ensure compliance with DOS policies and National Standards and Instructions.
- Perform post-installation compliance inspections of telecommunication systems.
- Archive and distribute TSP Quarterly Reports, and track follow-on actions and activities.
- 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or, 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Possess one of the following certifications, or be able to obtain before start date: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security + CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with SCI.
