Job Title: Emergency Response Paramedic

Job Summary:

The Paramedic will be responsible for providing advanced medical care to patients in emergency situations. This includes assessing each call situation, utilizing medical equipment and procedures, and communicating with patients and loved ones. The Paramedic will also work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel to provide optimal care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action.
  • Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
  • Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
  • Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
  • Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and provide critical information.
  • Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
  • Continuously maintain all Paramedic required certifications.
  • Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.
  • Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keep it clean and stocked for optimal call response.
  • Document activities with regard to patient care and billing completely.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • National Registry Paramedic Certification.
  • Montana State Paramedic License within 60 days of hire.
  • Possess a valid State Driver's License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP.
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
