About the Role

Cumulus Media is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, growing existing client relationships, and delivering effective sales solutions to meet client objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Needs Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of client business needs to develop customized advertising solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations to clients, including broadcast, digital, and events.
  • Digital Sales: Sell Cumulus' station digital assets, including streaming, station websites, and social advertising, as well as digital audience extension products to deliver a complete marketing solution to advertisers.
  • Prospecting and Pipeline Management: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals, and other means to build and maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects.
  • Order Preparation and Billing: Prepare and submit orders, resolve billing issues, and submit regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts, and competitive analysis.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Cumulus in the marketplace.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outside Sales Experience: Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent presenter to clients of sales opportunities and post-sale successes.
  • Lead Generation: Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects.
  • Sales Metrics: Comprehension of sales metrics in order to fill a sales funnel and robust pipeline of residual business.
  • Attitude and Energy: Positive attitude with the willingness to get beyond comfort zone to grow professionally, high energy, and passion for the job.
  • Digital Savviness: Digitally savvy and flexible.
  • Media Sales Background: XX years in Media Sales background preferred/required.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred/required.
