Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Röhlig Logistics. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQs, and quotations with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents.
  • Coordinate and attend sales visits with customers and partners to drive business development and sales growth.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business development initiatives.

Client and Supplier Management

  • Manage and maintain relationships with allocated customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
  • Deploy information about all contracts with customers and suppliers to all parties to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure that any client entertainment activities are carried out in a professional and responsible manner to maintain the good name of Röhlig Logistics.

Administration

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay ahead of the competition and identify new business opportunities.
  • Attend industry-related functions and events to represent Röhlig Logistics and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of customer and sales activities on CRM to ensure data integrity and informed decision-making.
  • Provide regular reporting of sales activities and business development initiatives to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • High school graduate – some college preferred.
  • Knowledge of related computer applications and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with all freight forwarding procedures, regulations, and departments.
  • 2-5 years of industry-related experience required.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Proven sales and business development skills and success.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Outstanding people and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent time management skills.
