Business Development Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Röhlig Logistics. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQs, and quotations with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents.
- Coordinate and attend sales visits with customers and partners to drive business development and sales growth.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business development initiatives.
Client and Supplier Management
- Manage and maintain relationships with allocated customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
- Deploy information about all contracts with customers and suppliers to all parties to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Ensure that any client entertainment activities are carried out in a professional and responsible manner to maintain the good name of Röhlig Logistics.
Administration
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to stay ahead of the competition and identify new business opportunities.
- Attend industry-related functions and events to represent Röhlig Logistics and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Update and maintain accurate records of customer and sales activities on CRM to ensure data integrity and informed decision-making.
- Provide regular reporting of sales activities and business development initiatives to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
- High school graduate – some college preferred.
- Knowledge of related computer applications and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with all freight forwarding procedures, regulations, and departments.
- 2-5 years of industry-related experience required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Proven sales and business development skills and success.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Outstanding people and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Excellent time management skills.
