Role Overview:

The Equipment Reliability Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing engineering functions within a pharmaceutical manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise various engineering divisions.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies focusing on reliability standards, mechanical systems, and electronic components.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all processes.
  • Establish and maintain the Engineering Change System.
  • Oversee current and future facility layouts.
  • Create and uphold preventative maintenance standards and schedules.
  • Revise equipment specifications and documentation.
  • Implement cost-effective improvements to equipment and facilities.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to equipment.
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives.
  • Stay informed on the latest control technologies and safety measures.
  • Manage equipment across various laboratory settings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for design optimization.
  • Select, mentor, and evaluate engineering personnel.
  • Provide guidance within organizational frameworks and suggest policy enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Lead and coordinate team projects.
  • Oversee Engineering department functions, including budgeting, methodologies, and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and EU regulations.
  • Monitor and complete routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Conduct GAP analyses and offer recommendations.
  • Tackle technical challenges while managing multiple priorities.
  • Oversee engineering projects from initial concept to validation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of managerial and supervisory experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
