We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Corporate Controls Engineer to oversee financial management and reporting for our projects.
This role is crucial for ensuring financial integrity and effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Cost Management:
Utilize job cost tracking principles to transition project budgets into cost tracking systems. Maintain and update cost codes as necessary. Monitor and analyze cost history, including project requests, report preparation, data analysis, and information distribution. Manage access requests for job cost-related systems.
Project Performance Tracking:
Support ongoing cost tracking for projects, conducting regular analysis of financial results. Facilitate weekly project meetings to discuss progress, labor, and material tracking. Organize project forecasting sessions three times annually, providing support for documentation, meeting coordination, report compilation, and presentation preparation. Assist with year-end financial close activities, resolving outstanding project issues, tracking billing and collections, and preparing reports. Organize and analyze data to support executive decision-making.
Training and Development:
Conduct regular training sessions on financial controls and procedures. Update and develop procedures as necessary. Provide training for new engineering hires on cost tracking software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Management is required.
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; familiarity with cost management software is preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
