Job Summary

This is a critical role in partnering with the business to develop and execute people initiatives that drive departmental and corporate goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong consultative skillset and ability to partner with managers to understand needs and deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement the hiring process, working closely with hiring managers to identify departmental needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Partner with EHS to proactively address improvements to the safety culture and manage Workers Compensation claims.
  • Manage the leave of absence process, guiding employees on benefits and documenting leaves of absence.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns and make recommendations on resolution.
  • Execute assigned projects, including merit reviews, Workday audits, and compliance training.
  • Consult with managers on personnel-related issues, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Draft and communicate organizational announcements and manage the exit interview process.
  • Maintain HR files and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and prepare organizational communications.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of increasing Human Resources experience, preferably in mid to large size manufacturing organizations.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, positive, and driven to achieve departmental and corporate goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to partner with managers to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee development, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Track record of investigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, including Federal and California Leave Laws.

Equal Pay Act Range

The annual salary range for this position is $63,000 to $94,400, plus benefits and incentive plans.
