Position Summary
The Maintenance Support Technician plays a vital role in the unit turnover process. Collaborating closely with the maintenance team, this position ensures that the property operates smoothly and that all maintenance requests are addressed promptly. Responsibilities include assisting with various tasks such as groundskeeping, general repairs, carpentry, and painting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to expedite the preparation of vacant units for re-rental.
- Respond to service requests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Prepare vacant units for new occupants by performing tasks including painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and other necessary activities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenity areas, and common spaces.
- Work efficiently without compromising quality, allowing sufficient time for other maintenance staff to fulfill their roles in the make-ready process.
- Build positive relationships with residents through exceptional customer service.
- Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations (including OSHA, ADA, and Fair Housing).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with paint sprayer equipment is advantageous.
