- Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the organization, including the submission of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements to the Board
- Responsible for cash management, especially the balances of restricted funds

- Responsible for maintaining and complying with IRS regulations and the requirements of funding agencies

- Responsible for the enhancement of the organization's image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic, and private organizations
- Coordinate annual fundraising and community outreach events
- Responsible for grant compliance
- Responsible for working with the Board to secure new revenue streams
- Ensure the efficient operations of the organization
- Effective administration of the organization's operations
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, including the building, grounds, and vehicles
- Responsible for the hiring, supervision, training, and retention of staff
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies for programming and the organization's facility
- Maintaining compliance as an IMHC agency regarding their program eligibility requirements and reporting requirements
- Manage Brightwheel, enrollment, and be a liaison with parents
- Manage incident reports, ensuring copies are made and issued to parents/guardians
- Process CCDF cards for compliance and payment
- At least a bachelor's degree; or five or more years senior nonprofit management experience or equivalent combination of volunteerism, education, and job skills
- High degree of integrity and strong leadership skills
- Transparent, communicative, and coachable
- Budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation
- Ability to convey the vision of the organization's strategic future to staff, volunteers, and donors
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector
- Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
- Strong public speaking ability
- Must have a valid Indiana driver's license
- Experience in a leadership role in a non-profit organization
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and its challenges
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
