Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Porter. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. You will assist with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks, provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience, and assist the care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by a Registered Nurse.
  • Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
  • Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
  • Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required within 1 year of hire.
  • State registered CNA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
