Job Title: Senior Property Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team at GY Properties. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing property financial data, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and adhering to accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial transactions related to our properties, including rent collection, expense tracking, and budgeting.
  • Prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Review invoices and bills for completeness and correctness, code to proper accounts, and prepare and draw checks from proper accounts.
  • Fill out and make bank deposits of all checks via remote deposit scan online bank software for properties.
  • Monitor all management activities and resolve issues while keeping all parties advised.
  • Responsible for making required daily General Ledger entries and month-end Journal Entries.
  • Accounts Payable entries and Disbursements.
  • Generate Monthly P&Ls & Balance Sheets.
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • General Office Duties.

  • Proficiency in PM Systems.
  • Accounting degree preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in the real estate/construction space.
  • CPA License.
Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000/year and up, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This full-time position is considered exempt from overtime pay under the federal and state wage and hour laws. GY Properties offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, generous vacation and paid time off, an employee referral program, complementary employee parking, and opportunities for continuing education and training.

GY Properties currently requires the COVID-19 vaccination for all employees, other than those with religious or medical exemptions. This is a full-time in-office position.
