The ideal candidate will act as a vital support resource for the primary assistant property underwriter when necessary. Responsibilities include upholding underwriting performance benchmarks concerning quality and processing efficiency to ensure exceptional customer service for the accounts managed by the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing workflow to avert processing discrepancies related to service timelines.
  • Reviewing all documentation for accuracy in grammar, spelling, and technical consistency with established processing standards.
  • Collaborating with external clients, underwriters, and various departments to investigate and resolve specific account challenges.
  • Fostering and maintaining professional relationships with members and/or the brokerage firms representing the organization.
  • Ensuring timely premium collections.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in property underwriting and knowledge of energy accounts is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred, particularly in a business-related discipline. A professional insurance designation is advantageous. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of insurance terminology, concepts, products, and coverage options, along with prior experience in an insurance company or brokerage environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, is essential. Familiarity with technical rating software and underwriting operating systems is also expected.
