Critical Care Registered Nurse

Nashville General Hospital is in search of a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every patient and their families. This unit features a 13-bed capacity with a 2:1 patient ratio.
Key Responsibilities of the ICU RN:
- Administer prescribed medications, perform dressing changes, manage wound care, and monitor vital signs.
- Provide respiratory support and oversee ventilator management for patients.
- Act as the primary coordinator for all healthcare disciplines to ensure well-organized patient care.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary using computerized documentation systems.
- Evaluate and coordinate the discharge planning needs of patients with your healthcare team.
- Education: Must possess a degree from an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
- Must hold a valid BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, Chemotherapy Competency, and CPI certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
- Current RN license in Tennessee.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
