Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Critical Care Nurse, you will:

  • Administer prescribed medications, manage wound care, and monitor vital signs.
  • Provide respiratory support and ventilator management for patients.
  • Act as the main coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Document and communicate patient conditions using electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and plan for patient discharge needs.

Required qualifications include:

  • RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire or transfer from a non-ICU area.
  • Specialty certification is preferred.
  • One to two years of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • Previous ICU experience is preferred.
