Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will:

  • Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient conditions while maintaining precise and thorough records.
  • Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic tests to evaluate patient health.
  • Exhibit knowledge of human development and care appropriate to the age groups served.
  • Uphold hospital standards for customer service.
  • Apply the nursing process to provide individualized patient care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and procedures.

Required qualifications include:

  • Active RN licensure from the relevant nursing board.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within the first year of employment.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within six months of employment.
