About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex RF/Microwave subassemblies and contribute to the design, development, and test of cutting-edge systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and design Radio Frequency systems and circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.
  • Develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements, and transmission line equipment.
  • Perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis, supporting Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
  • Lead teams performing root cause analysis and failure review board activities in support of product issues, and lead design reviews to ensure good RF design practices and processes are in place.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, and provide technical guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience.
  • RF architecture design experience, with a strong understanding of high frequency RF testing techniques.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in system simulation/analysis (SystemVue or AWR VSS), fullwave simulation/analysis (HFSS or CST), and RF circuit simulation/analysis (ADS or AWR Microwave Office).
  • Experience in high frequency RF testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting, including the use of an RF probe station.
  • Willing and able to mentor multiple design engineers, and have a strong understanding of commercial RF design experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
