Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal RF Design Engineer to lead our technical plans for product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing RF circuitry used in high-frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop RF circuitry used in high-frequency and microwave applications
  • Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test
  • Prepare test methods and specifications; analyze and test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics
  • Provide inputs to product development for formal documentation and support manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase
  • Develop RF system/subsystem architectures consisting of antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements, and transmission line equipment
  • Perform link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources
  • Develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements
  • Identify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs); perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis
  • Support life cycle costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree required
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience
  • RF architecture design experience
  • Experience in system simulation/analysis (SystemVue or AWR VSS)
  • Experience in full-wave simulation/analysis (HFSS or CST)
  • Experience in RF circuit simulation/analysis (ADS or AWR Microwave Office)
  • Must have experience in high RF testing techniques, including the use of an RF probe station
  • Must be willing and able to mentor multiple design engineers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required

  • Wideband RF system and circuit design experience
  • Commercial RF design experience
