Job Title: Assistant Director of Programmatic Fiscal Affairs

Join the City of New York's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as we seek a highly skilled Assistant Director of Programmatic Fiscal Affairs to lead our team in managing the financial operations of our programs.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Programmatic Fiscal Affairs will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and directives, and providing training and guidance to staff members. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and financial management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise payment analysts and ensure compliance with all applicable standards and directives
  • Develop and maintain contract spreadsheets for comparative review of the budget, claim, and funding for payment
  • Prepare fiscal summary reports and analyses, making recommendations for payment efficiency
  • Manage the unit in the absence of the supervisor and participate in special projects assigned by the Director or senior leadership
Requirements:
  • A master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration, and two years of professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research
  • Or a baccalaureate degree and four years of professional experience in the same areas, including 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory experience
