The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper and safe airfield conditions, performing administrative, professional, and technical tasks in support of airfield operations safety.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and direct airfield operations activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Recommend and implement goals and objectives for providing airfield services.
- Perform effectively under stressful conditions and interpret and explain City policies and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff to ensure high-quality performance.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including the general public.
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, airport operations, aviation/aerospace, engineering, business administration, or public administration.
- Four years of airport or airline operations experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
- Airport Certified Employee (ACE) or Certified Member (C.M.) Certification or American Association of Airport Executives Accreditation (AAE) or FAA Part 139 Certification.
- Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operations, services, and activities of an airfield operations program.
- Principles and procedures of airfield maintenance.
- Airfield safety standards.
- Principles and practices of aviation program development and implementation.
- Recent developments, current literature, and information related to airport operations.
