The Opportunity

RS&H is seeking an Airfield Project Manager to join our Aviation Practice in Albuquerque, NM

We are passionate about aviation and design and manage civil projects at airports throughout the U.S. and abroad. Our projects reach hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value for clients who share our passion.

This is a unique opportunity to help grow our Aviation practice in New Mexico and beyond. You will have the chance to lead a team of Aviation professionals to effectively manage clients and projects.

Job Summary:

This is a ground-floor opportunity to show how you can be the spark to expand a successful business unit into new territories, growing our client base and leading a team of Aviation professionals.

As a Project Manager on airport projects, you will have the opportunity to advance your career and professional development. You will lead, develop, and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexity, initiate and maintain client contact, and assist the team in winning the work.

Activities include the geometric design of runways, taxiways, and aprons; asphalt and concrete pavement design; stormwater and utility infrastructure design; coordination with airports, airlines, FAA, and other tenants; and construction administration/management.

Related tasks include:

  • Design of runways, taxiways, and aprons
  • Stormwater and utility infrastructure design
  • Pavement design and assessment
  • Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling
  • Coordination with airports, airlines, FAA, and project stakeholders
  • Construction management and inspection

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Part 139/Commercial service airport project management experience
  • Client Management experience
  • People management experience with direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New Mexico Professional Engineer license
  • Business development/marketing experience
  • Development of pursuit strategies
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
