Position Summary
This role is focused on generating new commercial accounts, which includes identifying leads, conducting prospect meetings, and crafting and delivering proposals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage with a diverse array of business owners and executives, fostering robust professional relationships. You will be responsible for advising clients on intricate risk management and insurance strategies while collaborating with other team members who interact with clients. A high level of organization and intentionality in your work is essential. This position demands a strong work ethic and the capability to communicate complex subjects in a clear and accessible manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a sales pipeline by reaching out to potential clients through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct thorough research to prepare for prospect meetings.
  • Provide necessary underwriting information to carriers and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Identify and pre-qualify high-quality prospects.
  • Document daily activities in the agency management system.
  • Establish connections with local influencers in targeted industries.
  • Participate in trade shows and networking events relevant to target sectors.
  • Consult with clients on insurance plan design and coverage options.
  • Assist clients with risk management and loss prevention strategies.
  • Educate clients on coverage details, significant exclusions, and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers on coverage assessments, renewals, and new options.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a current Texas Property and Casualty license, or willingness to obtain and maintain one.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and other online tools.
  • Willingness to engage in a comprehensive training program involving substantial study and practical work.
