Position Overview

People Ellipsis Partners, LLC is a prominent player in the heavy civil construction sector, currently in search of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a valid CDL. This role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting maintenance and repair tasks on heavy construction machinery such as bulldozers, cranes, and graders.
  • Adjusting and replacing defective components and systems using both hand and power tools.
  • Testing machinery post-repair to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and optimal performance.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks including cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Servicing attachments and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Executing necessary inspections and preventative maintenance to enhance safety and equipment longevity.
  • Documenting maintenance activities and providing detailed reports to management.
  • Monitoring equipment to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Participating in shop operations while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Addressing additional duties as assigned.
  • Diagnosing issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and proposing effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with directional drills, crushers, and cranes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CAT machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical schematics.
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance is essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid CDL license and DOT physical card, along with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in operations and teamwork.
