About the PositionThe Certified Medication Technician plays a vital role in enhancing the overall resident experience by providing exceptional daily nursing care and service. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, such as dressing, eating, grooming, communicating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility needs, as well as preparing and administering medications according to healthcare provider instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, eating, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Prepare and administer medications according to healthcare provider instructions
- Observe and report any changes in resident condition or behavior
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience working with seniors preferred
- Certified Medication Aide License required
- Ability to read, write, and understand English language
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
