Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Outreach Manager to join our team at the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with local companies, community groups, and government agencies to promote visibility, offer program opportunities, and grow Girl Scout membership throughout the council's geographic and demographic communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote partnerships with other community groups, agencies, and organizations throughout the council's geographic footprint.
  • Build relationships with county and local education administration for the benefit of girls in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, and Maryland.
  • Use membership, program, and population data to drive membership retention and growth.
  • Identify and reduce service barriers for girls and families.
  • Reach targeted markets, such as marginalized, underserved, and at-risk communities.
  • Facilitate competitor market research.
  • Establish funding for free and reduced-cost programs and services.
  • Oversee outreach program delivery at identified schools, community centers, churches, private locations, camps, etc.
  • Develop educational resources and learning opportunities for identified key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associates accepted with a minimum of two years' experience in event planning, business, community development, non-profit, or marketing.
  • Data analysis experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel throughout council jurisdiction.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include some evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally moves throughout the facility to access file cabinets, office machinery, supplies, etc.
  • Occasionally moves items that weigh up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit in a meeting or at a workstation and a computer screen for prolonged periods.
