Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in pricing and decision-making to enhance our underwriting division. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience in Merchant Cash Advances, particularly with a focus on B-Paper 1st, 2nd, and premium 3rd position transactions. This role requires the ability to utilize data-driven insights alongside personal experience and intuition to make well-informed decisions. The candidate should be adept at managing a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and demonstrate adaptability and efficiency.
Availability:
Candidates must be available Monday through Friday during Eastern Standard Time business hours. Flexibility for late nights may be necessary based on submission volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and determine approval or denial decisions for small business financing applications.
- Assess clients' repayment capabilities through comprehensive analysis of cash flow statements, tax returns, and other financial documents.
- Conduct in-depth financial evaluations, including trend and ratio analysis, to gauge credit quality and cash flow sufficiency.
- Perform additional due diligence as required to assess the creditworthiness of small business owners.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to negotiate financing terms.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four years of experience in B-Paper Merchant Cash Advances or a financial institution specializing in small business underwriting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret individual and corporate financial statements.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, with a preference for Excel and Word.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Skilled in identifying and resolving problems.
This position is fully remote.
