Job Summary

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive services and care within the six domains of athletic training clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive services and care to athletes, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs to reduce the risk of injury to athletes.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in athletic training, including NATA and NCAA guidelines.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working with athletes in a sports medicine setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Experience working with collegiate or professional athletes.
  • Certification in a specialized area of athletic training, such as sports medicine or strength and conditioning.
Working Conditions

The Athletic Trainer will work in a fast-paced sports medicine environment, with frequent interactions with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
