Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at UNC Health Care. Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and evidence-based rehabilitative care to patients, encompassing patient assessment, evaluation, treatment, planning, and the associated administrative tasks.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Conduct both basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations, focusing on the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments. Utilize a range of testing methods to accurately assess patient needs and treatment options.
  • Evaluation of Care: Analyze results from diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish and modify patient goals and treatment programs. Focus on identifying expected patient outcomes and communicate key information to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implementation: Employ current and advanced treatment techniques to offer high-quality, efficient rehabilitative services. Provide both habilitation and rehabilitation, and organize patient care, prioritizing their needs and those of their families.
  • Participation: Actively contribute to the quality of clinical services by participating in departmental meetings and in-service training as requested by management. Your involvement is crucial to maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Quality: Uphold the quality of clinical services through meticulous maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress. Engage in quality improvement initiatives alongside departmental leaders, clinical specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Play a role in continuous quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS
  • No prior experience required. Expertise in outpatient orthopedics is preferred but not mandatory. New graduates and those with experience in various settings are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or interest in orthopedics and sports medicine.
  • Ability to evaluate and treat a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, geriatric, and sports medicine patients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills and proficiency with complex EMR systems.
  • Self-directed and independent learner.
  • Motivated to seek out learning and growth opportunities in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.
