Job Requirements:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all team members on the production floor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit collaborative skills and actively engage in team activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities in a workplace focused on continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain conduct in line with organizational expectations as outlined in workplace regulations.
  • Comply with all safety and health objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Always work safely and report any hazardous conditions to your supervisor for prompt resolution. Document all incidents and near misses in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proper ergonomic practices while performing assigned tasks.
  • Meet and uphold all customer quality standards as well as the standards set by the organization.
  • Participate in and support all lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist operations in achieving or surpassing daily production targets and departmental goals as directed.
  • Clean all designated work areas upon completion of tasks, return all tools to their designated storage locations at the end of the shift, and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocessing area.
  • Utilize proper radio etiquette when communicating via company radios, PA systems, and phones for business purposes only.
  • Be available to work overtime as required by company policy.
  • Execute all assigned tasks according to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and relevant manufacturing, safety, and quality alerts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate closely with all levels of manufacturing team members and management on the production floor.
  • Work in conjunction with operators and team leads to plan color and material changes.
  • Operate forklifts as business needs arise.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with:
    • Tool numbers, material numbers, color codes, silo systems, and material flow systems.
    • The time each press requires to empty its feeder, noting that each press is unique.
    • Proper cleaning procedures for hoppers, feeders, etc., to prevent color contamination.
    • Inspection criteria for incoming materials to determine their release for production or necessary disposition.
    • The implications of defective materials on the production line.
    • The colorant cage process for material distribution.
