Position Overview:

The Senior Clerk-Billing plays a vital role in the financial operations of our healthcare facility. This position involves a range of responsibilities that ensure accurate billing and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct follow-ups on claims, resolve denials, and perform data analysis to enhance billing accuracy.
  • Identify and address billing discrepancies and analyze trends from insurance carriers.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Engage with insurance providers, patients, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth billing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A high school diploma or GED, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is essential.
  • Prior experience in billing, particularly with the Epic PB billing system, is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health insurance reimbursement processes and billing regulations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines is necessary.
