This position involves working autonomously to maintain, troubleshoot, and install ice machines, with the goal of enhancing equipment longevity and dependability, minimizing service interruptions, and boosting customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, servicing, installations, removals, and preventive maintenance on ice machines.
- Work at various customer locations and refurbishment facilities.
- Conduct tests on machines to ensure compliance with all applicable water and ice quality regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition, manage spare parts inventory on service vehicles, and communicate the need for additional supplies.
- Foster a customer-centric culture through respectful and consistent communication while striving for exceptional service.
- Maintain the service vehicle in good working order.
- Execute ice machine preventive maintenance according to Easy Ice standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- EPA certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in refrigeration, electrical, or HVAC fields with a track record of delivering excellent results is desired.
- Ability to safely use ladders and work at elevated heights.
- Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- A clean driving record, along with a drug test and background check, is required after an offer is made.
- Possession of necessary hand tools; specialty tools will be provided by the company.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be organized, energetic, self-motivated, and dependable.
