Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at ComForCare Home Health Care - Baltimore/Carroll. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our office operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of our home health care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clerical Support: Provide administrative support to our management and supervisory personnel, including preparing correspondence, reports, and documents, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating daily interoffice activities.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of office supplies and medical supplies, establish agency standards, and monitor supply needs to ensure availability.
  • Billing and Scheduling: Assist with the billing process, including data entry of schedules for billing and payroll, maintaining current admission logs, and monitoring return of doctor's orders.
  • Hiring Process: Assist with the hiring process for direct care staff, including providing initial telephone screening for applicants, setting up interviews, and requesting references.
  • Scheduling Process: Assist with the scheduling process, including covering shifts, inputting caregiver requests for off, and taking after-hours scheduling calls.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Perform job duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures, as well as community and professional standards, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school graduate; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in a business setting, healthcare preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to type at least 50 words per minute, and familiarity with basic computer programs.
Work Environment:

The Administrative Assistant will work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and supporting the mission of ComForCare Home Health Care - Baltimore/Carroll.
