Position Overview:

The Ladders is in search of a full-time, detail-oriented Consolidation Accounting Manager to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the consolidation accounting operations, ensuring precision and adherence to applicable regulations. This position will involve leading a team of accountants, generating financial reports, and offering strategic financial insights to upper management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and implement the consolidation process, which includes gathering, reviewing, and reconciling financial information from various entities.
  • Prepare and verify consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Manage the reconciliation and elimination of intercompany transactions to prevent duplication and guarantee accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial analyses to detect trends, discrepancies, and areas needing further attention, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies, staying updated with changes in accounting standards.
  • Guide and mentor junior accountants by reviewing completed adjusting entries and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared.
  • Utilize financial consolidation software and tools to enhance the efficiency of the consolidation process and maintain data integrity.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including executives and finance teams, to address inquiries and explain financial results.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the consolidation process, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or accounting within a large, multi-location organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur platforms.
  • Experience in multi-site environments.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant status is highly desirable.
