Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced HR leader and Business Partner with comprehensive generalist expertise to act as a strategic ally and operational leader for a diverse array of HR initiatives and programs.


Reporting directly to the EVP of Human Resources, you will be tasked with designing, executing, and overseeing a wide range of human resources functions. This includes managing employee relations, coaching for individuals and managers, performance management processes, organizational development, change management, diversity and inclusion efforts, and programs focused on employee experience and culture.


Key Responsibilities:


• Act as a primary resource for people managers addressing inquiries or employee challenges, providing guidance on various aspects of employment management, including employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and compliance.


• Spearhead talent management initiatives such as annual and mid-year review processes, performance coaching for employees and managers, bi-annual Talent Planning sessions, and complex accommodation requests requiring legal review.

• Offer counseling and coaching to all employees on interpersonal relations, recommending resolutions to issues, and fostering collaborative relationships across the organization.

• Oversee all employee relations matters and investigations to facilitate resolution and mitigate organizational risk.


• Collaborate with legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure that policies, practices, and employment decisions adhere to applicable employment laws.

• Partner with HR leaders to provide strategic consulting to internal clients, focusing on workforce planning.

• Advise and support on corporate policies and benefits programs.

• Conduct exit interviews, summarizing findings, identifying trends, and escalating significant patterns as necessary.
• Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of programs aimed at enhancing employee engagement, retention, development, recognition, and the agency's commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment.• Assist in delivering key talent programs, including corporate social responsibility reporting, leadership development initiatives, performance management, and mentorship.


• Collaborate with the Talent, Engagement, and Inclusion team to manage objectives that promote employee engagement in core programming fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.


• Work alongside the Talent team, leadership, and client teams to implement and support people and culture strategies that align with the agency's mission, vision, values, and corporate objectives.

• Develop and implement action plans based on employee engagement survey results.

• Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements.


• Lead, manage, and mentor junior team members to ensure clear communication of goals, feedback sharing, and development opportunities.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience within a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization, consultancy, or advertising agency.

• Proficient in interpreting, explaining, and applying human resource laws and agency policies.

• Previous experience in managing and mentoring staff.

• Process-oriented and analytical, with the ability to review reports, interpret data, and resolve complex issues efficiently.

• A passion for developing innovative programs that enhance the employee experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible, dynamic work environment.

• Strong knowledge of effective human resources management techniques.


• Comprehensive understanding of relevant state and federal regulations, as well as legal processes, procedures, and compliance requirements related to HR and labor matters.

• Familiarity with corporate payroll and promotion cycles.

• Significant experience in addressing, mediating, and resolving employee relations issues.

• Experience with onboarding, offboarding, performance improvement plans, terminations, promotions, career pathing, and performance evaluations.

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of personnel.

• Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts.

• Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in relevant tools and systems, including Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, and HRIS.

• A service-oriented approach to leadership, coupled with a commitment to empathy in practice.
