Job Responsibilities and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Critical Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients through the nursing process and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care.
Required Qualifications:
- An Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Licensure/Certification:
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (New Graduates must obtain within six months of hire).
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in critical care.
- Certifications such as CCRN or TNCC.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in basic English with the ability to interpret physician orders.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation techniques.
- Strong listening and empathetic skills to address the needs of patients and families.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
