Position Overview:

The Environmental Compliance and Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring that The IMAGINE Group adheres to all applicable regulations and standards. This role serves as an impartial entity that assesses and addresses compliance matters within the organization. The specialist collaborates with various management levels and employees to uphold a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee the compliance program related to waste management, water discharge, and safety data sheet requirements.
  • Permit Maintenance: Ensure all necessary environmental permits and legal requirements are maintained, including monitoring compliance with permit conditions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Compile materials for license renewals and ensure timely submission of all required reports.
  • Training and Orientation: Assist in conducting annual safety training and orientation for new employees.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of health and safety policies and programs.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with account management to facilitate internal and external audits and manage vendor or regulatory audits.
  • Security Management: Assist in managing the site security system and conduct investigations related to security incidents.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and ISO standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
