Director of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to support our client's dynamic team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will manage due diligence, prepare financial analysis, underwriting, and deal summaries, and monitor proforma performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and monitor financial models in Excel to ensure accurate projections and forecasts.
  2. Underwriting and Analysis: Support the underwriting process, analyze financial data, and execute real estate acquisitions to drive business growth.
  3. Due Diligence: Coordinate due diligence materials, budgets, financial models, and schedules to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Project Proposals and Closings: Produce project proposals and assist with transaction closings to meet business objectives.
  5. Funding and Compliance: Support the submission of funding applications, seek additional funding sources, and oversee budget tracking, financial reporting, and compliance submissions.
  6. Project Viability: Ensure project viability through budgeting and asset protection to minimize risk.
  7. Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and present reports and performance dashboards to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in affordable housing development and financing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Real Estate Finance: 3 years of real estate finance underwriting experience.
  2. Bilingual: Bilingual (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  3. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  4. Knowledge: Knowledge of federal programs for affordable multifamily properties.
Compensation:

$120,000 - $150,000*

*The above represents the lowest to highest expected salary range for this job opening. Our client will consider job-related factors when determining pay.
