Patient Access Representative Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Registration and Verification: Accurately and efficiently register patients, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary signatures and consents.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve patient and family concerns in a fair and compassionate manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in computer systems, medical terminology, and typing (35 wpm). Bilingual skills a plus.
