Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information, as well as obtaining necessary signatures and consents.
  • Work closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs and ensure seamless communication.
  • Handle multiple calls and requests, responding timely and professionally, and maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as needed, working collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
