Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety and Health Specialist to join our team. This role will involve providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee safety or occupational health program elements, including fall protection, electrical safety, confined space, and hazardous materials.
  • Analyze jobs, processes, products, or systems to determine risks to employees.

This position requires a strong understanding of complex technical hazard assessment assignments, involving the evaluation and analysis of laboratory data to develop hazard control options for asbestos exposures, mold growth, drinking water exceedances, confined spaces, or other similar health hazards.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety with 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for collaboration, teamwork, and risk management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form to individuals at different organizational levels.
  • Strong writing, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, large engineering organization.

Prior experience in safety consulting for FAA or other Federal agencies, as well as certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, are highly desirable.
