The Rooms Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of both the Housekeeping and Front Office departments. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of guest service and room management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide essential support to Housekeeping Room Attendants, Housemen, Supervisors, and Management by coordinating daily assignments and addressing guest requests efficiently.
2. Monitor room assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks related to VIP and site rooms, as well as room changes.
3. Prepare and distribute daily assignments, checklists, and reports, while updating communication boards with pertinent information.
4. Maintain adequate supplies at the coordinator desk and ensure proper filing of all necessary paperwork.
Front Office Duties:
1. Manage pre-registration, room blocks, and special reservation requests for both individuals and groups.
2. Prepare VIP key packets and arrange special accommodations as required.
3. Address customer complaints through thorough investigation and effective resolution, including authorizing revenue allowances.
4. Ensure accurate setup of rates, comments, and special requests, while preparing daily reports and processing no-shows as needed.
