Position Summary:

The IT Technical Manager, also known as the Computer Information System (CIS) Manager, plays a crucial role in enhancing the Bank's competitive advantage by ensuring that CIS aligns seamlessly with our operational strategies. This position entails supervising all aspects of computer technology and managing IT support teams, while also contributing to the establishment of robust computer network security measures.

We seek a forward-thinking and committed Technical Manager to elevate the efficiency of the Bank's computer information systems. Responsibilities will include working closely with the IT Team and end-users to improve system functionality and ensuring timely project completion.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in the development and maintenance of CIS, staying abreast of technological advancements and fostering innovation within the Bank.

Essential Functions:

  1. Conducting assessments on the efficiency and integration of CIS.
  2. Providing management with updates on CIS development, implementation, and overall progress.
  3. Collaborating with development teams and various departments, while incorporating user feedback.
  4. Driving CIS innovation and overseeing its implementation.
  5. Managing support teams and analyzing performance metrics.
  6. Supervising CIS user-testing and necessary adjustments.
  7. Ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of products and services.
  8. Evaluating the costs and benefits of new initiatives, and justifying funding requests to senior executives.
  9. Overseeing software and hardware installations and upgrades.
  10. Maintaining the integrity of the computer network infrastructure and ensuring security protocols are in place.
  11. Negotiating with vendors to secure optimal service levels for the Bank's technology needs.
  12. Assisting in the recruitment and training of new IT personnel.
  13. Performing additional duties as assigned.

This role includes supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type:

This is a full-time, exempt position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel:

Travel may be required for this position.

Work Environment:

This role is conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets, and printers.

Physical Demands:

The responsibilities of this position include writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, and various physical activities such as sitting, walking, standing, and reaching.

Mental Demands:

The individual in this role must be capable of handling detailed work, problem-solving, customer interactions, reasoning, mathematical tasks, language comprehension, presentations, and effective verbal and written communication, while managing stress and multiple concurrent tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
  • A master's degree in technology management or business management is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in technical management, ideally within the financial sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of CIS innovation and integration.
  • Proven ability to lead IT support teams and assist in the recruitment and training of new staff.
  • Significant experience collaborating with CIS development teams and end-users.
  • Capability to diagnose issues, oversee CIS user-testing, and implement necessary changes.
  • Ensuring optimal functionality of hardware and software, along with maintaining network security.
  • Ability to stay updated with advancements in CIS.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
