Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

Thom Child & Family Services is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team in Lowell, MA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families. As an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with parents/caregivers to ensure individualized, meaningful, and evidence-based services.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client developmental status
  • Provide direct speech therapy services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to child development
  • Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate
  • Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old with developmental delays or at risk for delays
  • Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress
  • Act as a service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans
  • Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development

Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or CF eligible
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development
  • Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards
  • Good computer skills and strong documentation skills
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a plus
