Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will work with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or are at risk for delays, providing home and community-based services to support their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of clients' developmental status, provide direct speech therapy services, and develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with goals, objectives, and strategies for each child's development.
  • Service Coordination: Act as a service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Family Support: Provide supportive professional assistance to families, facilitating parent-child interactions, and assisting families to act as advocates for their child.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as required.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Current Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or CF eligible.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships, commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services, excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field and relevant experience working with pediatric populations.
