As a proud member of the Crete United network since 2022, we are committed to enhancing energy efficiency and creating healthier environments for work, living, and leisure.Position SummaryThe Chief Operations Executive is responsible for the comprehensive management of operations, including project oversight, cost estimation, field execution, procurement of materials and equipment, prefabrication, and safety protocols.
This role entails full P&L accountability for the Construction division. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities and extensive operational expertise within the commercial MEP contracting sector. The Chief Operations Executive will report directly to the President of AC Corporation and will frequently collaborate with the Regional Vice President of Crete United.Key Responsibilities- Achieve departmental budget objectives.
- Oversee all operational facets, including project management, estimation, field execution, procurement, prefabrication, and safety.
- Enhance project profitability and execution through effective estimation, pricing, contracting, scheduling, tracking, reforecasting, material cost control, and labor productivity.
- Foster a robust safety culture to reduce injury risks on job sites and facilities.
- Develop a high-performing team and establish clear objectives for direct reports.
- Train and mentor leadership and field personnel within the department.
- Collaborate with the business development team to cultivate new client relationships and strengthen existing partnerships.
- Assist the President and CFO in budget formulation, monitor financial performance, and participate in regular financial and operational reviews.
- Build enduring business relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and partners within the Crete portfolio.
- Proven leadership track record with a history of driving teams to achieve results.
- Aspiring to play a pivotal leadership role during a transformative growth phase.
- 15+ years of operational leadership experience in the commercial MEP contracting industry.
- Experience managing projects exceeding $5 million.
- Technical expertise acquired through roles such as tradesperson, estimator, project manager, engineer, or operations manager.
- Prior experience leading teams of 50 or more individuals.
- Experience in a P&L accountable position.
- Professional Engineer certification and/or design-build capabilities are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).
