Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking a passionate and mission-oriented Clinical Director to lead our team of outpatient mental health professionals. This role is essential in providing both clinical and administrative guidance to our outpatient programs, ensuring high-quality care for individuals pursuing mental health support. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to assess program strengths, identify growth opportunities, and effectively implement trauma-informed training to enhance service delivery.

This full-time leadership role encompasses oversight of various adult mental health treatment services, including but not limited to:

  • Adult Outpatient Mental Health Therapy
  • Telehealth Services
  • Specialty Court Services (Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Adult Redeploy IL)
  • Clinical Internships

The Clinical Director will supervise key personnel across all programs, including the Program Manager of Outpatient Services, the Coordinator of Clinical Internships, and the Coordinator of Specialty Courts. This position will also lead internal workgroups, manage reporting, and prepare data to evaluate service effectiveness. The Clinical Director will report directly to Senior Clinical Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership to departments delivering outpatient mental health and co-occurring services, focusing on trauma-informed care, client engagement, and program evaluation.
  • Assess and recommend professional development opportunities to ensure the clinical team is well-versed in a variety of Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to support the ongoing growth and enhancement of outpatient services.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss strengths, improvement areas, and support the professional development of mental health practitioners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align programs with community needs.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings to promote collaboration among clinical programs, enhancing comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in behavioral health and the ability to function as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) as defined by relevant regulations.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in behavioral health, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid regulations, including relevant rules and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Exceptional time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey agency updates and foster positive relationships with team members.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
