C.H. Robinson is a leading logistics provider, and we are in search of a Global Forwarding Agent. As a Global Forwarding Agent, you will serve as the main point of contact for our clients, overseeing the entire shipment lifecycle of their international freight.

The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at quickly resolving transportation and documentation challenges. You will engage directly with clients, guiding them through the shipment process from beginning to end. We provide a comprehensive training program that equips you with in-depth knowledge of C.H. Robinson's systems and procedures, preparing you to contribute effectively to a high-performing team. Many of our successful Global Forwarding Agents advance their careers within C.H. Robinson in various roles such as Operations, Sales, or Account Management.

Here’s what you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Operational Excellence:

  • Grasp the processes, documentation, and terminology related to international shipping from the issuance of purchase orders to the delivery of goods.
  • Utilize industry expertise and analytical skills to adapt processes and devise solutions to both internal and external challenges.
  • Manage shipment tasks to fulfill all customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): securing booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, handling governmental filings, executing deliveries, and ensuring accurate invoicing.

Foster Relationships:

  • Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to guarantee efficiency, outstanding customer service, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, responding promptly and following up on issue resolution.
  • Provide documentation and reporting support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer business reviews.
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions in response to challenges.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Global Forwarding.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
