Job Summary

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Lead T-7A Mission Systems Hardware Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements.
  • Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
  • Analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition, and allocation, integrated design, analysis, and evaluation, verification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware & Software development, design, production, and project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration, and installation design, and resolving supplier technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Experience working with suppliers and supply chain management.
  • Proposal development experience.
